So it will inherit database default collation / charset. I've just created a ticket suggesting that #<a href="http://www.doctrine-project.org/jira/browse/DDC-2139" title="Table collate/charset doesn&#39;t inherits from database"><del>DDC-2139</del></a> . Because we're experiencing trouble using Symfony2 commands to create database, than create schema/tables/fields, always use "utf8_unicode_ci" instead of our database default collate.</p>
