It makes sense that possible mapping types are listed as possible values in the attributes list for @Column in the "Annotations Reference" page: http://www.doctrine-project.org/docs/orm/2.0/en/reference/annotations-reference.html#annref-column
The only place I've been able to find them is in the "Basic Mapping" page: http://www.doctrine-project.org/docs/orm/2.0/en/reference/basic-mapping.html#doctrine-mapping-types
