It would be nice if supported writing in DQL:
SELECT LOWER(a.name) AS name FROM User a WHERE name LIKE ?
The resulting sql:
SELECT LOWER(c0_.name) AS sclr0 FROM users c0_ WHERE LOWER(c0_.name) LIKE ?
